Outreach Coordinator
Temporary Position

Reports to: Principal
Reporting requirements: 8:00am – 4:00pm initially hours may change throughout the summer.
40 hours per week, some of which may be evening and weekend hours.

Duties include:

  • Assist with recruitment of new students for the 08-09 school year
  • Increase Local Applicant Pool for the 08-09 school year - contacts schools, churches, community centers and other local organizations to disseminate information about the school
  • Develop and implement a marketing strategy (including events, public relations and materials) to raise the visibility of the school.
  • Provide weekly statistical recruitment reports to the Principal and Executive Director
  • Conducts outreach to at-risk street youth and have them complete an application
  • Attend all scheduled staff meetings and take an active role
  • Follows up with applicants to ensure they complete the application process
  • Organizes and conducts presentations at schools, churches and community centers;
  • Reports on time unless a legitimate reason is provided;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: At least 2 years of college and relevant experience. Fluency in Spanish required. Ability to establish rapport and relate sensitively to a multiracial and multicultural group of young people. Flexible, energetic, positive individual with commitment to youth development and education in a high quality, respectful environment.
